The Difference Between "Getting By" and Thriving
Abraham Maslow put the desire for "self-actualization" at the top of his famous pyramid of human needs. Maslow taught us that we will never really be complete, happy, or satisfied unless we are striving for our full potential. That is why I wrote this book. This book is about thriving as your best self. It's about thriving in a world where so many people settle for average.
Other books on personality types include brief descriptions of each type, sometimes with a few tips. This book goes deeper than any other book, website or guide and includes the reasoning behind the strategies so you can truly understand the INTJ.
INTJ Not impressed. It's pretty MEH
Not much contained here that you couldn't read for free online. However, it is compact and handy should you want basic info all in one spot. I admittedly had higher hopes, however. I was dissapointed to find a typo not too far into the book, as well as some pretty rough sentence structure. I realize this must be a self produced e-book, but it made for a less than enjoyable reading experience, IMO. Lost credibility pretty quick due to this. Also - the price is fairly cheap, yes. However, the last part of the book is nothing but one quote a page. For "easy reference" or something. Overall, you are paying for a pamphlet's worth of actual good information. It's not nearly over a hundred pages of solid reading, as the preview would suggest. Didn't even last through one bus ride length wise.
Informative and enjoyable
This book is practical with lots of easy to apply advice. It was good for me because I wanted/needed more information on how to accept and prosper and nurture myself as an INTJ. This book helped! It's writing style is brief, practical and to the point. I appreciate that. This is a worthwhile book. I do recommend it to others. It also includes some nice, useful downloadable content. Yes, I would say - buy this book! I will also be buying some of his other titles.
Not worth it
The content is quite repetitive and contradictory at times. About half of the pages are quotes (one per page) and ads for the other “books”. It’s written in a very informal style with lots of typos - I’ve read amateur blogs that were better written. It didn’t help me as it provided very little additional information to what’s available online for free.
