Overworked with no end in sight, Vanessa Hawkins hasn’t had a vacation in nearly two years. When Cameron and Maya’s destination wedding takes her out of the office for a much-needed break, she finds herself struggling to resist her attraction to the best man. Darren is dangerously good-looking with enough charm to make any hot-blooded woman want to drop her panties and enjoy the ride, no matter how long it lasts.
When they return to the city, Darren realizes the single life has lost its glimmer. But with everything else on her plate, Vanessa doesn’t have room in her life for a man, let alone a player. Can Darren find his way into her heart and convince her that he’s worth the risk?

The ultra-sexy second book in Meredith Wild's Bridge series will hook both fans of the series and newcomers. Firefighter Darren Bridge is used to working hard and playing hard, but when he meets Vanessa Hawkins at a wedding on exotic Grand Cayman, he discovers he wants more. Vanessa is fine with a fling, but she's not about to let playboy Darren break her heart. This steamy modern romance had us fanning ourselves.

Into the fire
Never disappointed with Meredith Wild books. Book 2 in the bridge series was full hot steamy nights and Firefighter Alphas. Not as much drama but still a great read.
Enjoyable read
I enjoyed the story between Darren and Vanessa. But I thought Darren was supposed to be a bit more of a bad boy. He actually turned out different. I'll admit it wasn't as good as On My Knees. It was still a good read. It was nice to get to see Maya and Cam. A couple of extras thrown in.
Book 2 Darren and Vanessa
A good writer, holds your attention so you can't put the book down. A Great Writer, Like Meredith Wild, has the skill to write a trilogy and have you on the end of your seat waiting through each chapter and anticipation awaiting next book.
