Into Wrongdoing

Lilly DeFranco believes she has finally found her niche. At forty-two years old, she is happily married, the mother of a six-month-old, and the head of a charity that assists Mexican women recently released from prison. Her life was going smoothly until Jeronimo Hermosa—a retired Mexico City crime boss, Lilly's former employer, and now, her benefactor—calls in a favor.
After serving ten years of a twenty-five-year murder sentence, Amelia Fuentes, a daughter of one of Jeronimo's close friends, is about to be released from a Juarez prison, and Jeronimo wants Lilly to assist Amelia upon her release. However, Amelia has her own agenda. One that involved finding her ex-husband, who she believes faked his death and implicated her.
Amelia's efforts quickly go awry, and she once again finds herself a fugitive. Lilly attempts to rein her in, but Amelia is in a constant loop of wrongdoing and is deep in corruption, betrayal, and shadows of the cartel. Soon, Lilly is forced to dig into her past and draw upon old skills and instincts she thought she would never have to use again.
