I would highly recommend that everybody read this. As a Gen Z person, I see how Snapchat and Instagram and TikTok have become a plague in my generation. Other than exploring incredibly interesting studies and facts, this book dives into the nuances of why we become addicted, and at the end it goes over ways to prevent this addiction. At times, the book gets a little slow or off topic, but not enough to deter me from recommending it. It’s not terribly long or complicated, but I would consider it an essential read. Also, the first few chapters go by a little slowly, but part 2 and part 3 are truly fascinating.
I really enjoyed this. Stopped using social media after reading it. Not because I was shamed or scared - because I learned how it worked.
