Compelling
This is a part of Bete’s arch. He is to say the least. Complicated. He comes across as not caring. Will berate lesser adventurers for their lack of strength. Literally telling them they don’t belong there. That they should go home. Therein lies Bete’s story. I started to get so emotionally drawn into his story, that I had to set the book down and walk away from it for a couple of days. That hardly ever happens. It is a very good story. You will view Bete in a different light. I wish only the best for this character going forward. I only hope the author’s set fit to write some happiness into his life. Knowing the Bete character as he is now. He would never outwardly show it.
