England's most valiant knights paid court to wealthy Liana Neville, but only the infamous warrior Rogan Peregrine made no secret of his powerful desires. His very caress melted Liana into liquid fire, and she vowed to capture this manificent, wild man. Boldly the delicate beauty gave him her hand -- and Britain's richest dower. Yet he was bound to a bitter feud: for love betrayed, brothers killed, and ancestral land usurped. In Rogan's war-ravaged castle, Liana would lay her tender seige...to redeem his embattled spirit and win his untamed heart!
Jude Deveraux is the greatest!
I read some of her books years ago but had forgotten how much I enjoyed her books! I will be reading more.
This book read as if a new ghost writer was giving a book a stab, and a new editor was meeting a printing deadline. Very poor writing! Events, character development and scenes were not plausible. The dialogue was stilted and only a few places were mildly entertaining. Readers wanting a good story should look elsewhere.
I'm absolutely torn as to how to respond to this book. It was interesting enough that I read it in a day yet the end was abrupt and some twists were a bit annoying. All in all though I guess I could say i enjoyed the book but it could have ended better.
