Chronicles of a Predatory Nation

America's institution of slavery, which was sustained for centuries, driven by greed, and cultivated a desensitized society to violence, death, pain, and suffering. Racism was the expedient, combined with racial violence for centuries, maintained a constant optics, imagery of divisions, and perceived racial hatred within the country that kept America engaged, with the acceptance of murderous violence in numerous communities across this nation historically with spectacle lynchings, random murders, and assassinations of community leaders and politicians that included U.S. presidents, Attorney General and political congressional leaders. These factors, intertwined and deeply rooted in American history, that has contributed to a legacy of violence that continues to shape this nation's identity today, with the acceptance of violence, and more importantly, gun violence that challenges the aspirations of a more peaceful future. Even in the news cycles today, gun violence is constantly prevalent in society, with multiple assassination attempts on President Donald Trump, and recent murders of political leaders are further evidence that America is willing to make gun violence part of the political and social norms.
