Part history, part family memoir, E la Storia Continua shares the inspiring story of the courageous Italian immigrants who endured severe hardship over the centuries to pursue opportunity in America. Author Peter A. Chidichimo, a second-generation Italian American, began his work on the book by researching his family history, before traveling to the Italian city of Spoleto to meet relatives, then continuing to Naples and the southern village of Civita, where his father was born and raised, before journeying to America.

Though largely a tale of immigrant fortitude and perseverance, E la Storia Continua is also a story of faith, family, friendship and gratitude. Peter embellishes the saga by adding fun facts and humor, including personal examples of the precarious nature of driving in Italy for the first time.
