This book is about the author's wanderings in childhood and youth, his family, discoveries of unique kinetic gas effects for planning space-exploration missions, and about the reasons that led him, born to be a scientist, to the decision to leave his homeland, the Soviet Union, seek an awkward path in life in the U.S., and continue to being engaged in both science and teaching—the main purposes of his life.
