A rollicking adventure inside Istanbul and Turkey by a Turkey expert. It brought back memories of Istanbul before its modernization when the ancient city was slowly being discovered by intrepid travelers and wide eyed Peace Corps Volunteers. I know. I was one of those PCVs who shared many hours with the author in Izmir and Istanbul. Tom, thanks for the memories.
