Nice bio on Bruuuuuce!
I read a lot of books on music history, specifically rock music, and this book is one of the most well-written i've read. Although i'd rather read something in Bruce's own words, this book uses historical data from public archives, as well as content from interviews with Bruce. This gives the book relevance and the casual writing style makes it an easy read for ANY Bruce fan.
The background information of Bruce's life certainly puts into perspective the Born in the USA tour experience i had... I attended a concert here in Austin during this tour and it remains my most memorable concert experience. I have aleays marveled at how one single person on a stage could capture the souls of a huge arena of people. Not only did i feel infused with Bruce's authentic warmth through his music, but i felt a closeness to everyone in the audience that i have never felt since. In reading this book, it gives me a deeper understanding of the world around me at that time and what Bruce was going through as well. It just creates a stronger bond with my man, Bruce...
