I love the balance between strength and vulnerability of her characters. They paint a picture of the rawness of unveiling ones deepest, darkest fears and hoping for acceptance.

This book is definitely a must read. Ms. Draven transforms erotic acts into literary prose that envelopes you in a deliciously sinful dream you don't want to abandon.

Historical Romance and I, usually don’t get along very well. Even though I know it’s an accurate portrayal of history, I don’t like the world and the roles that women were forced to take. After reading the blurb for It Stings So Sweet, I was very intrigued and excited to read a historical set in the 1920’s. Ms. Draven does a fantastic job in bringing this era to life and accurately depicting the plight of women’s independence in the roaring 20’s

After being drawn in by the absolutely amazing cover, I was extremely delighted to find three separate, but interwoven, stories within. I love books that, not only grab my interest from the first page, but maintain it throughout the entire book. It Stings So Sweet was no exception and, I was continuously propelled through its pages by fabulous writing, amazing & vibrant characters, beautiful love stories and spectacular erotica.

Each story introduces us to a couple who, through discovery, honesty & acceptance, learn to find happiness with themselves, and each other. By giving voice to their wants, needs, fears and fantasies, the women exert their new found independence without apology. Each heroine is strong and willing to fight for, and not be ashamed of, what she wants. I loved that Ms. Draven wrote their characters with such vivacity. Even though they have each suffered their own demons and struggle with repression, they won’t settle for what is expected of them.

Without question, It Stings So Sweet, is one of my favorite historical romance reads and one that, I’m sure you’ll love as well. It has just the perfect balance of love, sex and romance, mixed with well written storyline, to make an amazing and quick read. If you’re a fan of the Historical or Erotic Romance genre, this book is a must read!

This book actually consists of three different stories with some characters that overlap all three stories. For example one of the characters is an ex-fiance in one story and the central character in another story. This book was a really fast read. I read all of it in 3 hours. I tried to stop, but I just had to see how it ended.

The storylines for the stories were very different and centered around strong female lead characters that had a definite opinion and interest in a sex life outside of traditional boundaries. The stories included spanking, double penetration, and m/f menage segments. These were very tastefully described with no coarse language and all in the context of romance and love with permission.

I loved every story and my only disappointment is that the stories weren't longer. If you enjoy heroines that aren't afraid to ask for what they want and delight in receiving it-- this book is for you. It's entertaining and eventful from start to finish.
