The eighth in a series of ten books “Italian for Tourists: Mauro and Carla Bianchi’s Trip to Italy”— Readers will follow the journey of an Italian-American couple that travels to Italy for the first time and will learn the Italian language in a written and audio format that is fun, practical, effective and useful in daily situations through a series of real life scenarios.
In this book, our main characters, Carla and Mauro Bianchi, are traveling to major Italian cities by all means of transport and visiting places on foot. While driving downtown, they get a ticket and are witnesses to a bag-snatching. A ride in the gondola turns the day into a positive one! We will learn how to ask for directions, get a bus, a taxi, train tickets, water-taxi and take a gondola ride through role playing and useful phrases and vocabulary pertinent to these situations.
