In this book, which opens with a cultural note, Carla and Mauro Bianchi—our Italian-American couple vacationing in Italy—are at a museum, antique ruins and spa enjoying massages, manicure, pedicure and a new hairdo. We will follow them to the movie theater and a live music show and on the dance floor. We will learn about the Italians’ “dolce vita” and useful phrases and vocabulary pertinent to these situations.
