Fleeing city life and wanting to reinvent herself, Jasmine West seeks refuge in the small town of Lotus. Concentrating on starting her own business, Jasmine just wants to establish a quiet life and make people see that she is more than just a pretty face.
Jasmine quickly learns that a "quiet" existence is not in the cards for her in this town. Everyone around her interferes in every aspect of her life, particularly her nonexistent love life. Forced into agonizing rounds of speed dating and set up on questionable blind dates reinforce Jasmine's notion that she is content being alone. That is, until she sees Evan. He is the most arrogant, rudest, most mysterious man she has ever met. Yet, he invades her every thought. How can someone who seems like such a nightmare, and who has so many secrets, be everything she has ever wanted? Jasmine just wants a turn at real love and happiness.
