Marcela and Mark Bowers, seeking a peaceful yet adventurous life away from the city, relocate to a remote house on a Greek island with their 3-year-old daughter, Mia, and their puppy, Romeo. Despite the peculiar surroundings, the Bowers remain optimistic, excitedly planning renovations for their newly purchased home.

Their idyllic new beginning darkens when they stumble upon an abandoned village during an exploration. Amidst the eerie ruins, they uncover an ancient box buried beneath stones. The box contains old coins, a severed animal head, teeth, worms, and an ancient ring. Bringing this box home sets off a series of disturbing supernatural events that begin to unravel the fabric of their lives.

The malevolent force unleashed by the box begins to infiltrate the family's lives, probing their individual vulnerabilities. Marcela, burdened with the demands of pregnancy and motherhood, is plagued by severe fatigue and mounting anxiety. Initially dismissive of any supernatural explanation, Mark transforms into a vigilant protector after a harrowing experience. Meanwhile, young Mia, acutely attuned to the sinister presence, starts exhibiting unsettling behaviour, revealing her profound fear of the entity.

As the paranormal occurrences intensify, the Bowers are trapped in a relentless cycle of fear. Objects move inexplicably, eerie sounds pervade the house, and dark figures lurk in the shadows. The psychological strain on Marcela and Mark takes a toll on their relationship, transforming their once joyful home into a place of anxiety and depression. Marcela's health deteriorates, and Mia becomes the primary target of the entity known as Mormo.

In a climactic showdown, the Bowers confront Mormo, drawing on their love and courage to protect Mia and banish the malevolent force.
