Not your usual formula romance. Well written, humorous, and great characters. I really enjoyed reading it.
A Brilliant Historical Romance!
My first book by Kelly Bowen and I’m so excited that I’ve “discovered” such a brilliant historical romance author! I can tell I’ve many hours of delightful, insightful reading ahead with her books and I will follow her releases diligently. In this story the author intertwines a passionate romance between Gisele and Jamie with the serious (but little talked about “back in the day”) issue of spousal abuse. The intertwining was done with chilling suspense and keen planning so that I was reading with a pounding heart and could not lift my eyes from the pages as I read this story in two nights. But it was worth losing sleep over…it was a truly refreshing, exciting story that I highly recommend. Thank you, Ms. Bowen for your writing!
