Where do you go when you’re at the end of your rope?
Former Marine Tucker Wylder wants nothing more than to work with his brothers in their vintage car restoration business and be left alone with his nightmares and regrets. The last thing he needs is to take on someone else’s troubles…
Then Elisa Danvers and her young daughter arrive in Misty Bottoms, Georgia. Elisa has reached the end of the line—flat broke, engine trouble, sick in body and spirit. Tucker steps up to the rescue and finds himself reluctantly taking care of a feisty preschooler and her independent mother, who doesn’t seem to want his help. And Tucker isn’t sure he’s ready for the way precocious little Daisy and headstrong, beautiful Elisa herself capture first his bachelor household and finally his carefully guarded heart…

PUBLISHERS WEEKLY
Austin's delightful second Bachelors and Babies contemporary (after Must Love Babies) is fast-paced and sensual. While driving through Misty Bottoms, Ga., single mom Elisa Danvers needs to get some work done on her car and stops in at the Wylder Brothers' car-restoration business. When Elisa passes out, former Marine Tucker Wylder catches her and helps calm her three-year-old daughter, Daisy. The local doctor decides to run some tests on Elisa that will take days, so Tucker invites Elisa and Daisy to stay with him. The sensual attraction sizzles between Tucker and Elisa, though he remains haunted by the guilt he feels for the deaths of his fellow Marines. When Elisa decides to stay on in town, she moves in with an older wealthy woman who offers her a business opportunity; Tucker's life seems empty without Elisa and Daisy in his house, but Elisa tries to keep her distance, fearing that secrets from her past will put him off. The ups and downs of Elisa and Tucker's relationships are powerful and convincing. Old-fashioned Southern charm adds the perfect touch to this rich and emotional romance.

Cute small town romance
I received an ARC of this book from NetGalley for my honest review.
This is a cute small town romance. Tucker Wylder owns a successful vintage car restoration company with his brothers in Misty Bottoms Georgia. He is dealing with survivor’s guilt from his stint in the Marines where his four best friends died. He likes his ordered life and is keeping everyone at arms length. Elisa Danvers walks into his shop, passes out and completely upends his orderly life. Since Elisa’s toddler daughter, Daisy, cannot accompany her in the ambulance, Tucker follows her to the doctor. Elisa is down on her luck, she is a single mom, her daughter has health issues, she has no family support, and she just lost her job. Tucker takes in Elisa and Daisy, so Elisa can recover. Tucker and Elisa are very likable characters. Both of them have so much baggage, that it takes time for the relationship to develop. I really love Daisy and Tuck’s (or as Daisy calls him Tut) relationship. Tuck doesn’t just fall in love with Elisa, he develops parental feelings for Daisy as well. This is a very sweet story and a nice addition to the series.
Small town love.......
This wonderful romantic small town story was like a breath of cool air on a hot summer day! I laughed a lot, cried a little and fell in love with a sweet little girl named Daisy.
Tucker Wylder is one of the three Wylder brothers running Wylde Rides. A well known shop that restores vintage cars to their past glory. Tuck is a former Marine, a neat freak and shouldering a lot of survivors guilt. He has a home he loves, his family, but most of the time prefers his own company.
When a beautiful woman literally faints at his feet, he is terrified, and add a wailing toddler in the back seat of her car, adds to it. The beautiful fainting woman is Elise Danvers, divorced, laid off from her job and broke. The toddler’s name is Daisy, and once Tuck “Tut” agrees to take her to her mom, she calms down. Elise was heading to Charleston, but ends up having to spend some time in Misty Bottoms, Georgia. Between her ancient relic of a car, and a few health problems, she is stuck. But the characters in this small very friendly town, make her their own, especially Tucker.
The life of a single mom on her own and Tucker’s suffering from survivors guilt are handled beautifully. It shows how the emotions of war are not left behind when you leave. All Elise needed was a break, and the townspeople gave it to her. This is the second in the Wylder brother’s stories, it can be read as a stand alone, but the first book is equally as enjoyable a read.
I thank the publisher and author for the opportunity to read and review this book.
