Publisher Description

A collision between a passenger car and a Greyhound bus occurred on March 3, 1962, on U. S. Highway 12 in Clark county. The administrator de bonis non of the estate of Dr. Thomas F. Fleming, a passenger in the car, who died in the accident, sued the driver of the car, Earl Knight, and the Greyhound Corporation. Dr. Ralph O. Allen, another passenger in the car, sued the same defendants. Clark county and its insurance carrier were made interpleaded defendants by Greyhound upon cross complaints which alleged causal negligence by Russell Lyons, the employee of Clark county, who was operating a snowplow for Clark county at the time of the accident. The cross complaints sought contribution from Clark county in the event it was determined that Greyhound was liable to the plaintiffs.
