Jakob Mac Cloud, youngest of the Mac Cloud brothers, loves to go undercover, ferret out targets and get to the truth, but had never thought, he would ever become a mark himself.

Jake has seen his brothers find happiness with the women in their lives. The walls he'd built, ripped down when Officer Catia Andres, was shot in the field, making him feel again and see what a future for them could be.

Catia Andres, a special undercover investigator, brought in to target the Mac Cloud's, their unit and the station house from an investigation started out of jealousy and hate.

Caught between duty and desire, Catia works to clear them before her secret is out, hoping Jake will want to continue their budding relationship once he learns who she really is.
