Publisher Description
James Madison saw our day. He saw our modern obsession with individual rights, our occasional financial chaos, our flirtations with war and uneasy peace, our political party-bashing and Supreme Court activism. And as America's preeminent political visionary, he also saw how these problems could be solved. His vision has transcended the centuries and if we will but heed him, take his advice and use it, we can build for ourselves a better America--one that both preserves his legacy and our own freedom.

Disingenuous Indeed!
Being a long time fan of James Madison and his writings, I enthusiastically bought this book simply because of its title. Everyone is America is entitled to their opinion, but not to their own set of facts. This book is not about Madison, nor is it about his writings. If one wants clarity about that, I suggest reading Madison's own words to the Commonwealth of Virginia, titled "Memorial and Remonstrance Against Religious Assessments." Unfortunately, the author attempts, unsuccessfully in my equally educated opinion, to manipulate Madison's secular words into an anti-abortion a screed. Madison was no fan of any religion, especially when it was/is used as a means of modifying our secular constitution. Nevertheless, near the end of every chapter, the author brings up Roe vs Wade as an example of everything Madison repudiated. Nothing could be further from the truth.
