Publisher Description
The weather is starting to get very cold. It is December of 1607, and Captain John Smith is one of the men who are in charge of the Jamestown colony. Things are not going well. They have been in America for about eight months, and winter is almost here. Even so, they have hardly any food, their living conditions are poor, and they did not have time to plant any crops in the time since they arrived.
So begins the fascinating history of Jamestown! Inside these pages, you'll discover what brought the settlers there, what they did there, and most importantly: what was it like to be a kid at the Jamestown settlement.

"Jamestown History just for Kids"
Really? do the kiddies really want to know about that bad winter? And the cannibalism? Yes, cannibalism. Not enough food to last the winter, so what do you think? Or maybe the kids should know.
I still see this 'just for kids'. How about that 14 year old girl at Jamestown? Eaten, yes eaten. The kids should know that, now shouldn't they?
Great book! I really enjoyed reading it.
Recommend to anyone who wants to learn about Jamestown history.
