Fantastic Read

Thoughtfully written, full of insight and colored with high degree of respect for Japanese culture. Gives a broad, sweeping examination of early history punctuated by significant figures and events and a closer examination of modern/postmodern Japan. Would love to see a post-word or addendum covering the last two decades since the book’s publication!
