While this is a part of a series, you don’t have to read the prior ones to fully understand this one. I would however highly recommend it. First it will help with the relationships that these people have with each other. Secondly you will absolutely fall in love with all of them!
I have a love / hate relationship with Ms. Briscoe’s books. I love to read them and hate when they are over! I can’t properly explain the feelings I have when they go through their individual situations. The way she crafts her stories they just come alive. It is like watching a movie for me. This is no exception. Right out of the gate and my heart is broken for Daisy!
Jasper has been broken by his grandfather after his parents were killed and he goes and lives with him at the tender age of 6. Can Daisy break down the walls around his heart? Can she heal his spirit?
This is on the sexy side so I would highly recommend this to someone over the age of consent. If you are a lover of the blue collar workers, then you have to read this!!!!

This is my least favorite of the Broken Falls series, but is still a 3 1/2 star read for me. Jasper is a bit of a complicated character. He loved his diseased parents and to honor them, he started a foundation for at-risk kids. But his controlling grandfather threatens to stop funding if Jasper doesnt marry and produce an heir. The only person he cares anything about is Daisy, whose heart he broke in college and hasn't spoken to in years. But the kind hearted, compassionate, and forgiving Daisy is willing to help Jasper by marry him, having a child, but thinks she can protect herself even though still loving him. Well paced storyline, interesting characters, drama, sizzle, steam, and more.
