Have you ever wondered how guitarists like Joe Pass, Jim Hall and Wes Montgomery find such full, luscious voicings for their chord melody playing? Well, much of that sound is based on the "Drop 2" principle of chord voicings. In this book, veteran guitarist Randy Vincent explains exactly how you can get that same sound too. Endorsed by Julian Lage, John Stowell, Larry Koonse, etc. The audio portion of this book is available for free download at http://www.shermusic.com/new/downloads.shtml.
Great Author, Great teaching. Digital book needs improvement
I have both the Paperback, and now the iPad version.
Like the comment mentioned below, the chord images ARE small. However, on your iPad, on any guitar chord image, you can double tap it. That will bring you to another screen of just that image which you can zoom in on. It works. However, when you zoom in on it, the images ARE rather fuzzy. You can read them, but with a degree of difficulty.
Mr. Randy Vincent, please just get the digital book developers to load Hi Res images of all your diagrams and images, and you got yourself a great digital book. I'm sure people who have already purchased a copy would easily be able to update their copies via iTunes should you update the images, and PLEASE DO!
The accompanying CD tracks which can be downloaded from a separate site are good. BUT THERE IS NOT ANY TRACK OR ALBUM NAMES! Come on! That's too easy! I'm trying to load the tracks into iTunes, and all the tracks just say for example "11 Track 11". The tracks should be titled to correspond to example number, or page number or something intuitive and common sense. There is no album name or artist name to any of the tracks either. How am I supposed to search for these tracks in iTunes if they only say "1 Track 1" in the song name? I can't even search iTunes for "Drop 2" or "Randy Vincent". Now I have to manually do everything myself. This is a HUGE oversight.
LIke I said, I have the paperback and now the iPad version. GREAT book. The Digital copy has 2 HUGE oversights. Please fix it so I can better enjoy your book on my iPad! Would easily give you 5 Stars otherwise.
