New take on classic horror figures
Pretty interesting take on the classic literary monsters existing in the real world. The story had heart, humor, and violence to keep it from getting stale. Pretty solid pacing, so the story never feels like it dragged on for too long in any one spot. The main leads were likable and the villains were completely despicable, as all great heroes & villains should be. Worth a read.
Could be more
Not a bad story (it WAS free) for light reading but having the characters go through TWO full out fist fight and a building collapse with no damage to their formal evening wear was too far to suspend disbelief. Several instances of that and heavy reliance on the mcguffin takes away from the deeper subjects that were presented.
With more development this could go from OK to really good.
