FACTS. - Jennifer Chapman, a baby, suffered cardiac and respiratory problems. After a second operation, she experienced a cardiac arrest to which a nurse did not immediately respond and which left her mentally and physically impaired. Veasy, her physician, told her parents that the impairment was unavoidable; they later received a contrary opinion.
