A Must READ!!!
I laughed and fell in love with Eli and Jewel. I couldn’t wait to read each evening and find myself throughout the day laughing at the wisecracks or just smiling at the love they grew to share that poured from the pages.

Awesome story! This book was one of the first Beverly Jenkins books I read and fell in love with it. Historical romances are my favorite type of books and Ms Jenkins is my favorite author. She informs us of great things African Americans achieve when they didn't really get recognition for it.

I really enjoyed this book. I love African American history and to have found a writer that includes it with romance is great. Thank you Ms. Beverly for your books. This is the third book I've read from you and I can now say that I am a FAN.
