Ice Sculptures and Lunar New Yesr
Junie Calendar decides to help her boss’s brother Poll become a better ice sculptor in return for having him jilt her at the altar. He did reluctantly agree to her proposal, but the more he gets to know her the less comfortable he is with it. Both Junie and Poll’s families are close and protective of each other. Junie’s brother Bob would kick his butt and I’m sure his family would make their displeasure known if he goes through with it. If it was what she really wanted Junie should have taken ownership of the plan and the heat for it when Poll presented with an alternative. There is a lot of innuendo humor in the book, some of which made me chuckle and others groan at the puns. I enjoyed reading about ice sculpting and all the dishes Poll made for Lunar New Year and wish I was invited to that yummy party.
