Publisher Description
1. Works By McGahern Since McGahern is so popular in France, as is evident from the large body of criticism on his work produced by French academics, written in English as well as in French (see 4 below), and, more importantly, since he has shown an extraordinary level of involvement with French-language editions of his work (he has revised The Leavetaking after working on the French translation, (1) and a fourth collection of short stories, Les Crdatures de la terre, was published exclusively in French translation (see 1.B below)), first editions of French translations of McGahern's works are included here alongside the first British, and US editions.
