Thoughtful, practical , concise and applicable

Geared more towards the craft of film acting, I found this book (manual) many of the specific challenges or complications that actors encounter or put themselves through during the process of preparation and/or performance for the camera. It looks at how to use the camera and ourselves to tell the story more importantly bring about results in simple ways, while getting us out of our heads and having fun, playing and taking the pressure off of our preconceived ideas. Funny, Simple, too the point and applicable things we can do to achieve immediate results.. Will keep re reading and playing with its concepts.

You Must Read This Book

Forget all those other acting books you've read - if you want to act in front of a camera.

This book will change your game and help get you where you want to be as a pro.

A very witty ( but with a nice edge) approach to what works - and what doesn't - when auditioning and working in film and television.

Swanbeck tells it like it is.

An honest and no BS look at how actors and their craft are viewed by casting decision makers from from a true insider.

I wish this book had been around 30 years ago.

I will read it many times. A true gift to actors
