Preludes are short piano pieces which can also be short autobiographical slices of life, which can also, sometimes rhyme. Yes, poetry - of sorts. Preludes can also be a visual representation of the short piano pieces - i.e. the sheet music to the piano pieces, which is what this book is.
Overall though, preludes are short works of art.
Short doesn’t mean easy peasy lemon squeezy. Or trite. Or lacking poetic bite. It just means means smaller doses. Of a whole. Sometimes a big whole. Sometimes a beautiful whole.
