Amazingly Surprised

For as long as I can remember, this book has been considered the “right of passage” for all seniors that take our school’s AP Literature class. In the beginning I was worried that I would dread forcing myself through this entire novel, but the past six weeks of reading, anaylzing, and discussion have been quite the contrary (although not so sure about our ten page research paper). Hardy’s characters are relatable and he builds a story that keeps you rooting for the underdog - up until the very end. I am very glad I took the time to actually read this, and would suggest it to any student who will be entering college soon.

P.S. In love with the strong female characters. Go Hardy.

Amazing eloquence

Thomas Hardy captivates in this heartfelt tragedy of love and social entanglements. Readers cannot help relating to the protagonists.

Horrible

I'm happy this book is free because I wouldn't pay money to shove nails into my eyes.
