Publisher Description
Directing motion pictures is not the same as directing for television. Ryan Murphy will have to learn this lesson if he's going to be a successful filmmaker. Murphy is the writer-producer behind two very popular programs, "Nip/Tuck" and "Glee." He's also directed episodes of both. His first feature film directorial effort, "Running With Scissors" (2006) didn't succeed because it felt unfocused. Murphy had trouble finding the right tone for the picture. He didn't get a handle on the source material. Now Murphy is back with "Eat Pray Love," and once again, it's the same problem. Murphy has trouble understanding the source material.
