There is a town in southeast, Iowa where the rules don’t apply, the law barely exists, and “PC” is just a term used to describe computers…
Nick Harmen’s not sure where to turn. Unemployed and with few prospects, his only option is to join his cousin Zack’s marijuana-growing operation in their small hometown of Junction.
Not that Nick trusts his cousin. Zack’s proven he’s willing to screw Nick over before. Besides, the local drug-dealing business community conveniently fell into Zack’s hands after Joey Sheeks, the previous owner, died of exposure—naked and likely with a large dose of LSD in his system.
So no, Nick doesn’t trust Zack. Even so, he can’t believe his cousin’s a murderer. Someone killed Joey though, Nick’s sure of that. Even more so when other residents of the sleepy town end up missing or killed under strange circumstances—people with no obvious connections to each other or Zack’s burgeoning little drug empire.
Nick doesn’t know what’s going on, but he’s increasingly concerned he’ll be the next on the killer’s list. He’s just not sure why.
