Junior Cert History Higher Level

This history book has been written to help students understand the Junior Cert exam paper and to better prepare them in achieving a higher grade.


This ebook provides students with sample solutions to Junior Cert Exam papers from past years. Unlike the solutions in the State Exam Commission’s Marking Schemes these solutions have been written in the style that students should write their answers in the exam.


These are not definitive solutions, in fact many of the questions in the Junior Cert exam have had entire books written on the topic and these examples are but one possible answer. They have been written to avoid unnecessary waffle but they are a little longer than needed to get full marks as it is a good practice for students to go a little over to make sure they have enough written.


Rather than copying the format of the exam papers the questions have been organised into chapters based on what area of the course they are taken from. Within each chapter the questions have been divided into Picture, Document, Short questions, People in History and Paragraph questions.
