Just A California Girl: Betting On Love is an exceptionally written story with the right elements that will take you to the cusp of finding your kindred soul and have life's mistaken circumstances taken away from you.
The setting of the novel is Las Vegas early 90’s Jess and Jackie should perhaps be supervised or not granted access in the State of Nevada or just maybe Vegas.
Two best friends head to the city sin to practice on their British accent for Maestro who was about in his late 30’s didn’t realize he drove them mad in his jeans. I won’t mention the outlining. So they decide to take their homework to heart and head to Vegas for the weekend. On a nightly stroll down the strip, they end up at The MGM and at a free lounge act. They score two free wristbands for two free drinks. But on this weekend expedition takes a turn for Jackie which she was not prepared for. She encounters Danny and his metalhead, tight fitted t-shirt stretched across his iron-clad body, faded 501 button fly jeans, including the six foot two and capable of so many endless possibilities. He is A GOD!

He pulled me toward him and whispered in my ear, “I don’t want to scare you away or push you too far. Something about you, you look like you’re my angel and I want to know if you feel like my angel. Let me take you on my Vegas tour.”

“Definitely my angel, you taste heavenly,” he peered down at me with the most devilish hooded dark eyes sneaking through his happy features. He simply wrapped his arms around me and smiled before leading me off to our next destination."
“I was remembering how your warm hands make my skin hot and my nerves tingle. I fell asleep last night with the taste of you and Midori on my tongue,” I confess sexily."

“I can’t wait to be with you.
“I’ll be waiting for you whenever you get here.
“Only if you want me to be,
“You’re the girl I want,”

“Once you let the Tiger out, he doesn’t want to be caged.”

“When another man wants you, even if it’s only for a hug or to hold your hand—remember me, think of me, know I’m waiting for you and how I make you feel. Remember the moment we’re together when I’m your world and nothing else exists. I’ve never had that with anybody else and I’m willing to bet you haven’t either.”

Will Jackie and Danny continue on this crazy adventure?
No matter what obstacles the Universe places in their path will they find the strength in each other to overcome them and find their way back each other? Or perhaps take this crazy adventure a once in a lifetime deal as a memory? Will they fight against all the odds for each other or will they allow the Universe to decide there fate and destiny?

Author’s writing skills are powerful. She is able to lure you in slowly and seize you page after page.
A few twists in this novel.
A great well-written novel. Characters are excellently written throughout the story. Without reservation, I wholeheartedly recommend this book.

The range of emotions written into Jackie and Danny’s story literally made me laugh, cry, feel their passion, and throw the book across the room. Was Jackie brave enough to confess her truth? I’m not going to spoil it, but this book will definitely leave you wanting more.
