Although he was born with the disabling condition Arthrogryposis, Goodwin Hale, with the encouragement of family and friends, determined to live as normal a life as possible. As a result, he completed college, law school, was a practicing attorney and once was a public official. In his forties, he married Jo and became an instant father and grandfather. His grandchildren insist "Goodpa" is not disabled; this is just the way God made him!
