Publisher Description
Just a Pig is about a pig who ran away from a farm because he didn’t want to be eaten. Now, if only the people he meets outside the farm would stop reminding him that he’s tasty – it’s making him anxious and affecting his dreams! Just a Pig is a comic book for middle-grade readers (and beyond) that celebrates the power of ice cream, sparkly rocks, and sticky tape to make a pig (and a person) feel better, and features drop-ins from Zop-Blop (from the planet Goo-Squish), Klat (the same), and Screamo the Time-Traveling Chimpanzee.

Just a pig
The main character, Pig, may be just a pig, but this is not just a book. This book is the narrative of our time. A must read that captures the Zeitgeist of both the Millennials and Gen X in one fell swoop. And if one acted fast enough it came with buttons.

Offbeat story with pointed message
This whimsical storybook should appeal to young children because it is, as the author acknowledges, inspired by the vivid imagination of his young niece. There are no shock and gore tactics in this Vegitarian manifesto, although the pig is poked by a boy with a fork which leads to a G-rated nightmare about a bar-b-que joint inspired by Dante. The real genius is that among all the outlandish scenarios, the idea that people would actually eat a living creature becomes the hardest to believe. The candy-colored and highly stylized illustrations reward closer scrutiny.
