Heather Jennings has been a bad girl. It's not enough that she's been fantasizing about her domineering, powerful boss, stealing glances and dropping hints behind her boyfriend's back. He reached down and unbuckled his belt. I was so shocked I couldn't speak, only sink back against the chair. My eyes were wide, my mouth hung slightly open, and my heart was pounding in my chest like it would burst through at any moment. "That file," he hissed, as he slid the black leather from the loops of his pants, "was probably the most important piece of business we’ve had all month. It's going to cost the company hundreds of hours to re-create it." He took both ends of the belt in his right hand, the long, black loop hanging down.


"I...I..." I wanted to apologize. To say that it was a simple mistake and it wouldn't happen again. The words wouldn't come. My thighs clenched. My breath caught in my throat. Part of me was terrified, dizzy with the idea that my boss would take this kind of action, that he would be so arrogant as to presume he could act this way. But another part of me wanted to moan aloud. He always knew me, knew me like the back of his hand. He could get under my skin with a simple word, leave me speechless with a subtle expression. He liked it that way, I could tell - liked it more than was professionally appropriate. And he knew that I did, too.  


This is what I'd always wanted from a boss. I’d never told anyone about it, never dared act on my feelings. But this is exactly what I would fantasize about at night. Or even, more and more lately, while I was still at the office, catching glimpses of my boss out of the corner of my eye, or trying, against all odds, to keep up with his stern, sometimes harsh commands. Those times when my boyfriend couldn't get me off, this is what I would envision to push me over the edge. And now that it was actually happening, I was helpless to resist - the good little assistant, about to get a sharp reprimand from her disappointed boss.
