Fun, heartfelt story
I received an advance reader's copy of Just One More Minute. It was such a bright spot in my week. I ended up reading it all in one day.
The relationship between Matt and Rowan is great. I loved that they were childhood sweethearts. Rowan had her heart broken and never knew why. Matt struggled through his adolescence and landed the baker's job in Rowan's aunt's bakery.
After the death of Rowan's aunt, Matt and Rowan come together and must work through their issues for the bakery to survive. What evolves is a wonderfully delightful story. I loved the chemistry between Matt and Rowan. The complications that arise add some realism and weight to their story.
While I'd say this sits firmly in my "fun, feel good" story pile, there is enough struggle in this book to keep it interesting and relatable. I'd recommend this if you are looking for something to make your heart happy.
