New York Times bestselling author Christina Dodd’s Lost Hearts series…
Mystery and misery scarred their young lives. Three sisters and their foster brother, torn apart by tragedy and scattered across the country to grow up alone, without the loving family they had known…
Oldest sister Hope Prescott lives in Boston, far from the warm, southern home she recalled. She works hard with one goal in mind — finding her lost siblings and reuniting her family. Yet her job at the answering service and her loving nature creates a family of friends, people she knows only by their voices. She especially likes Griswald, gruff old butler for wealthy Zack Givens.
Meeting Griswald is a shock; he is neither gruff nor old, but a powerful, handsome man. In fact, he is Zack Givens, cold, heartless — and charmed by the artless young woman who brings him chicken soup, treats him like a friend … and falls in love with the humble man she imagines him to be. Inevitably, she will face his betrayal. Then can Zack solve the mystery that haunts Hope's past to prove their futures lie together?
Shining with all the humor of her historical romances but with a sassy edge that reflects the story's modern setting Dodd's (My Favorite Bride, etc.) first foray into the contemporary arena is nothing short of a success. Separated from her siblings since her parents' death seven years earlier, Hope Prescott works as an answering service operator and dreams of getting a job that will finance her search for her family not to mention socks without holes. While calling in for his messages, Zack Givens, a Boston CEO notorious for his cold manner, accidentally leads Hope to believe that he's his butler, and her scorn for the rich and heartless as well as her warm, caring manner encourages him to continue the charade. Upon meeting Hope in person and realizing that she has a heart of gold, Zack's focus turns possessive and sexual, and his stratagems revolve around getting her in bed and then showering her with wealth. But secrets from Hope's past and Zack's distrust conspire to ruin their happiness. Zack's poor estimation of Hope's moral strength may disturb some readers, but his bewilderment and agony when he realizes his mistake will soften hearts. Aside from one farcical side trip when Hope is kidnapped by a crime lord Dodd's surefooted story is lively, sexy and certain to expand her readership.

Loved it! The beginning was a little confusing and boring but it turned out to be a great read.
Just what I was expecting, shallow characters, poor plotting, a bit of eroticism, basic beach read. Won’t go looking for more. I don’t believe in love or religion.
Really very good!
I loved this story of loss and mystery! But goodness and love prevail! Enjoy the mystery of Hope and the merry band of strangers she cares for until one falls in love with her!
