I received a complimentary copy of this book and I am voluntarily reviewing it.
This is an explosive start to a new series. The action was practically continual throughout the book. I adore any book or series that include K-9s. Their love and devotion to work and their handlers is a special one. Bear, the rottweiler, was not Cash's originally and her story was one that was especially sad and thought provoking.
Elena and Cash come together to go up against the cartel. They took her younger brother. She has no idea about what happened to her parents when the cartel invaded their town. The cartel burned their house and others in her hometown in retribution. Can they break into the fortress that the cartel is building and retrieve young Daniel?
There is violence but nothing over the top. I would recommend this story to anyone who loves stories with a strong alpha (complete with his demons of course) and his K-9 that fight along side an equally strong woman.
