10 years ago, Kusakabe had a friend named Kishiro. He was a mysterious drama performer, whose words and actions were always theatrical. He hung around with and fascinated Kusakabe.

Back then, Kusakabe lived alone in an annex of a farmhouse. When the daughter of the landlord became attracted to and approached Kishiro, things started changing forever.

One day, when Kishiro was within the vicinity of Kusakabe's residence, he suddenly vanished into thin air. After that, memories pertaining to Kishiro remained a mystery in Kusakabe's mind.
