Customer Reviews
A good read...
I’ve been a KT fan since my youth, thanks in part to my mother. Obviously I’ve read few books on her and some tend to romanticize her work. I enjoy the book because he presents her career with details and facts allowing you to be a witness to this magnificent artist. The photos are very KT :) worth a read.
Pros & Cons
Pros:
All of the interview excerpts from Kate and her associates over the years. It’s best to get the facts and details directly from her.
The book does a great job of telling the origin story of how she started.
All of the detail put into the early years.
Some really cool little facts about who played what on different songs.
Cons:
The Sensual World and The Red Shoes albums kind of get snubbed. You don’t get a lot of detail here. You do get some snarky comments from the author about some of the songs on the records though. I didn’t appreciate that at all.
I am not an English teacher but there are some misspellings throughout the book.
There are picture credits at the end of the book. But there are no pictures in the digital version of this book.
Summary:
This is worth a read if you are a Kate Bush fan and are looking for a little more historical detail on her rise to fame. If the Cons above are of a concern to you then you may want to find a different Kate Bush book.
