Publisher Description
From USA Today bestselling author Kiersten Fay comes this deliciously sexy tale of a powerful vampire who has been burned by love and a bewitching siren who consumes him body and soul, bound by a passion they cannot resist.
Naia DeVoe never mixes business with pleasure, but when she winds up in bed with the vampire she’s been hired to spy on, that rule gets tossed out the window. Ruthless and forbidding, Cortez is not a man to be trifled with. Aside from being the head of his clan, he’s rich, powerful, and the hottest club owner in town, but somehow she arouses his carnal desires. From their first combustible night together it’s obvious she is in way over her head...
As the ferociously protective leader of his clan, Cortez must be careful who to trust. Enemies loom everywhere in this town. Outside his vampiric progeny, no one gets close to him...no one, that is, until a beautify seductress walks into his club and all but demands his attention. Is she the one he’s been searching for, or just another woman destined to betray him?

Magnetic Attraction
This is me: I'll just sit here and read a tiny bit
Later: ended up devouring the whole thing in one sitting!
Bear with me while I digress here, remember back in elementary school when you played with magnets - and when you moved them closer they would jump out of your hands and slam into one another?
That's how the main mc's were for me. When Naia and Cortez got close to one another, "snap" - the rest of the world fell away. I liked that even though Naia had a bit of an inner struggle with her attraction for Cortez - she really didn't flip flop about it, well not too much anyway. It was also interesting how she would start out to lie to him many times - and then the truth would just fall out as her mouth opened.
Now, don't get me wrong, these characters are definitely keeping secrets from each other. I'm just hoping when it all hits the fan, so to speak, that it won't end up tearing them apart. Their connection feels to genuine and real to keep them apart for too long (please Ms. Fay - don't torture me that way!)
Things are all hot & steamy & magnetic, with Cortez and Naia - then secrets start to come out. Oh and by the way watch your step there's fallout everywhere.
I have to say I really loved Naia - even in the face of a big decision she seemed to keep her head and lead with her heart! Cortez is definitely yummy and a bit Alpha - When he spoke to her in an "almost" growling voice, I think I literally heard it my head.
Well, played Ms Fay - as always looking forward to more!
