Two years ago something weird happened to me.

Not weird, messed up. I thought I was going to die. In a way I did - the old me is never coming back - because I now have a supernatural add-on that I can't always control.

I call her Veronica.

So what's a girl with a deep love of sleep, a predilection for making lists, and a demonic alter ego supposed to do? Wander the streets of a brand-new city trying to figure out how to live my brand-new life? Yeah, I look normal on the outside, but that doesn't mean I am. I can't risk people getting close. What if she shows up and all hell breaks loose?

Damn I'm lonely.

But when I hear about a murder assault with a bit of weird shit attached, something occurs to me. People like me create certain kinds of messes, and these kinds of messes get media attention. The kind of exposure I can track. Because if it happened to me….

I can't be the only one.

There have to be others like me out there.

I just have to find them.

And while I search, I can use my supernatural add-ons for good; to fight for people who can't fight for themselves.

I can unleash my inner demon on those who deserve it.
