A Crystal Singer novel—a captivating blend of adventure, intrigue and romance.

Killashandra Ree's life was one of catastrophic changes. She had joined the Heptite Guild to become a crystal singer, get rich, and forget her past. And at first everything went just as she had hoped. In one season on the deadly beautiful world of Ballybran, she had sung Black Crystal, grown wealthy, and met a man who made her sorrows seem unworthy of notice.

But then, a year later, a devastating storm turned her claim to useless rock. In short order she was broke, she had crystal sickness so bad she thought she'd die, and the only way she could be true to the man she loved was to leave him. . . .

Metal and water ,

A great sequel in a timeless series.

Just as good on the second read, many years later.

Great story

I love Anne McCaffrey's books. They are well written and hard to put down. I have never been disappointed by any of her books. This is book 2. Crystal singer is book one, killashandra is book 2 and crystal line is book 3. All are excellent as is her dragon riders of Pern series and many of her other books.

Like an old friend.

I bought “Crystal Singer” from a small independent book seller many years (decades?) ago. Rereading it at least every year still left me wanting more. Killashandra answered all my “what happens next” questions with a wonderfully happy ending!
