Great Adaptation of a phenomenal game
I read the entire 358/2 Days manga series and it is pretty well done. It is a lot more comedic than the actual game, but it knows when to treat certain moments seriously. The comedy has actually made me chuckle a few times with its various gags. The art isn’t that detailed but it works well for the tone that the artist was going for. It does a great job fleshing out certain characters that weren’t fleshed out in the game; it actually made me like certain characters a bit more.
I wouldn’t recommend it over the actual game, but it complements the game well with how it approaches this story. I would recommend it over the cutscenes in the 1.5 HD collection however, because I think it better captures the soul of the original game. There really is some good content here, so check it out!
Incredible series, does a great job of showing the storyline to those who would rather read than play the game. This particular book shows Amano’s latest and, in my opinion best art style so far.
