WANTED: ROOMMATE. Must be tidy, polite, and absolutely not my brother's hot as sin best friend.
I have no idea why I said yes.
Maybe I'd had one too many wines. Maybe I'd done it accidentally. Maybe I'd been sleep-texting.
One thing I know for sure is this: I absolutely do not want Ethan Hawkins in my apartment, up in my business, taking over my space.
Yet he's here. Moving his stuff into my spare bedroom. Sending a wave of panty-melting, musky man-scent my way every time he walks past me.
Here's the thing.
We don't get along--at all. We never have, and I don't think we're going to start now that we're under one roof.
There's also that little issue where I'm kinda, sorta, totally in love with him...

Ava & Ethan, At Last
Talk about the sweetest torture...living unromantically with your brother's best friend, the guy that you've been not-so-secretly in love with for most of your life. And when that under the radar love is reciprocated, but you don't know it? Yep, I'm definitely in the Kiss Me world of author Emma Hart.
Having met and thoroughly enjoyed Ava in the first two books in the Kiss Me series, I was ready for her to get her own story. I have to admit, that, while I was looking forward to it, I wasn't sure what to expect. Because, while Ava is sassy and self-confident, her romantic track record hasn't been anything to write home about, and I wasn't sure how she was going to bring her Xena the Warrior Princess attitude to the love arena.
Well, never fear, Emma's done her usual fab job of giving Ava all of the snark and the sass, and she's paired her perfectly with Ethan. Even though he's dealing with the 'we can't be together because your brother will kill me' thing, he just can't quit Ava. And, truly, they are great together, despite her active dislike of Mr. Prickles (who doesn't love a hedgehog?! I mean...) and their non-stop bickering (all an act, I tell you). And once reason kicks in along with the realization that communication is key, well, things begin to go to plan.
KISS ME AGAIN is the perfect wrap-up for this series, although I'm a little sad that I'm not going to see Ava's brother Leo get his HEA, because he's ripe for a taste of his own medicine, and I would so love to see that go down. If romantic comedy with strong sassy heroines and their long-suffering but undeniably sexy men are your gig, you will love these books. Funny, steamy, and likely to cause unexpected outbursts of laughter make them well worth the read, and destined to become some of your favorites. Enjoy. ❤️
Another hit from Emma!
Another hit from Emma! I tend to love the quirkiness of all Emma’s characters, but I think both Ava and Halley from this series take the cake for me because they are hilarious! Ava has been in love with her brother’s best friend for years, and unbeknownst to her, Ethan has been in love with her for quite a while as well. With a little pushing from Ava’s brother, Ethan and Ava find themselves as roommates while Ethan plans out his next move. Another aspect in this story that I love is Ethan’s pet hedgehog, which Ava is practically terrified of. It really provides another extra level of comedic relief throughout this storyline and adds to the charm! While the pair navigate being roommates, they can’t help but battle each other through who can hit the other with the most petty, childish prank that is hilarious over how simple yet silly they are. The joke ends up being on both of them when their feelings come to the surface and they’re unsure what to do with it out in the open. The epilogue was also hilarious to me because we get a little insight into what happened after the series to not only Ava, but also the other girls. I loved this series and wish we could continue but all good things must come to an end!
I voluntarily read and reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
A must read!!!
This story. Wow!!! These two are truly a force to be reckoned with... when facing off against each other 😂. Whether it’s a passive aggressive war, or them getting all out down and dirty, these two know how to succeed. They had me cracking up throughout most of the book. Throw in some great advice from their friends, and it just gets better. I enjoyed catching up with the secondary characters, who were just as entertaining in this book as they were their own.
A fun, laugh out loud, enemies to lovers read I would definitely recommend!!!
